As for anti-rape law, UNDER PRESSURE from various opposition parties, the Union Cabinet on Monday agreed to keep the age of consent for sex at 18 years from proposed 16. It is unfortunate that Kangress lead government had to redraft the bill under pressure. But while doing so, they equally dropped out important issues related to rape cases making the newly worded anti-rape bill a WEAKER bill to be tabled for approval of the parliament within coming 1-2 days.
