George,
The choice for Goa is either it remains the backwater state that it has been
for the past 50 years or it marches into the 21st century. The choice is, to
either depend on the calibre of Goan politicians that have been elected there
for the past 50 years allowing it to remain in the stagnant water
classification, or to embrace 21st century infrastructure upgrades that are
vital to any emerging economy.

Once again, the choice is for change. There are those who are adamant that they
like things exactly the way things are.?

The way things are in Goa, to this Canadian resident, is that the educated are
forced to leave Goa to earn a decent living while the uneducated are flooding
into the state.

People will/have made money on Mopa. The idea here is to look forward. The idea
is to be able to harness the energy of Mopa to develop the economy of Goa and
its neighbours.?

This idea of us v/s them is what sends everyone backwards. The idea of
cooperating with your neighbour is what sends the economy forward. Look all
around you. The economies that are expanding are those that embrace change.?
