Antonio Lobo, Convenor MSSG 9850809902 COMMENT: My dear Floriano, >From your post, it appears that a lawyer has written the above words. I could be wrong. I just do not believe that a lawyer trained under common law (now prevalent in India) would draft such a note. Whatever be the case, I find the above statements astonishing. Do they have any legal basis? IF so, under which law? I will submit that ANY adult has the fundamental freedom to leave ANY association to which he owes NO funds, at anytime without assigning ANY reason. The same is the case, inter alia, with the freedom to leave any political party; to refuse any further treatment even if consent was previously given but withdrawn in the midst of the treatment and also with sexual intercourse in progress. I personally believe that Prajal is well within his rights to leave....without giving anybody any reason....even if the terms of joining mandated an 'unfair contract term' that a valid reason must be given to leave - a term which one is likely to find only in the underworld and the 'secret societies'. On another point, I wonder what benefit it is to any organization to force a no-longer willing person to continue until he/she gives a "valid" reason for leaving. If this is the mindset of the MSSG, i'd say the following: 1: it is a bizarre mindset 2: it is NOT based on either legal or ethical principles 3: it can only lead to self-destruction 4: my wishes are with this group for it cannot and will not succeed - if it continues thus. 5: fire your lawyer....you do not have to give any Valid reason for that. jc that having been noted, you remain my friend and I will value to criticism even IF you do not give me a 'Valid" reason (:-)
