(1) VIVIAN
"Citizens of the USA by law are AUTOMATICALLY considered to have renounced US
citizenship if they acquire the passport of another country"

(2) jc
I am led to believe that Vivian is, in all probability, misrepresenting the
position of the US wrt dual or even multiple nationalities.

(3) ERIC
Vivian has the facts. The paranoia dates back to the revolution.

Final Comment on this matter from jc

1: I politely beg to disagree with Eric.
2: Besides, a couple of centuries have passed since the 'revolution'

Case Law has since ruled to the contrary of the paranoia Eric is referring to.
'Our' own possible prejudices against Israel having been noted, I invite 'us'
to think Mexican.

U.S. Supreme Court: Vance v. Terrazas, 444 U.S. 252 (1980) : "a person CANNOT
lose U.S. nationality UNLESS he or she VOLUNTARILY relinquishes that status"
