Find God or He will find you Seek and you will find, Knock and it will open It is a promise of faith
Rev,John Powell , Loyola University , Chicago Tommy was one of the of the new student in faith class among others .He marked him Strange for his flowing long hair, six inches below his shoulder He was a sort of atheist and constantly questioned, objected to promoting the concept of loving father Rev. Powell found him to be a pain in his neck, but tolerated with understanding and his long experience ,unable to change his attitude At the end of the course, Tommy questioned the professor” Do you think I will ever find God”? I can only tell you Tommy that HE will find you. Rev Powell learnt that Tommy did graduate after all , but was afflicted with incurable cancer of lungs .When Tommy finally sought an audience with his professor, he was dying, He was relenting, an essential sadness of having to die young and having missed most of the worldly pleasures of life He did try to find God, but all in vain and gave up in desperation. Rev Powell wanted him to give testimony to his faith class, but Tommy was in position to oblige and instead asked Professor to speak on his behalf One day he mustered courage to speak to his father and say that he loved him The father dropped his newspaper, hugged him lovingly in reciprocation with a flood of tears running down his cheeks .He could not understand his strange behaviour, but felt very close to each other for the very first time Tommy also melted at the unusual, unexpected response from his father. Tommy repeated the exercise more easily with his mother and siblings In love Tommy had finally found God , and God found Tommy. Love is God and God is love. Tommy in the end, and shortly before his death did receive the faith to vision. Rev. Powell also learnt the inevitable truth to promote deeply his faith mission too You will not find God, the way you want, at the time and manner you want, God ways are strange and He will chose the time and place to manifest himself Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
