*Jolly Boy Sebastiao at TAG’s Meet The Artiste* Tiatr Academy of Goa invites a tiatr artiste to share his stage life experiences by offering a platform at its monthly program Meet The Artiste. This month the program will be held on 21st November 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at TAG’s Conference Hall, Campal Trade Centre, Campal, Panaji. Born on 23rd March 1943 to Piedade Fernandes and Merciana Po, Sebastiao Salvador Fernandes is also popularly known as Jolly Boy and Originally hails from Carambolim, Ilhas Goa. Sebastiao made his debut on the Tiatr Stage in the tiatr ‘*Paiche Bhes’* at the age of 16 years in the year 1959 at his home village Carambolim. After the success of his first tiatr and the applaud and the encouragement received from the audience and well wishes, there was no looking back for Sebastiao who has written and directed over 36 tiatrs till date. Some of the well – known and popular tiatrs written and directed by Sebastiao are *‘Kazar Pai Modonichem’, ‘Zolmachi Nixanni’, ‘Milagrincho Khuris’, ‘To Fottkiro’, ‘Thank You Doctor’, ‘Montri’, ‘Mathi’, ‘Gorv’, ‘Konnuch Noko’, ‘Mhojea Ghora Samkara’, ‘Guneanv Tuzo’, *etc*.* Another quality that Sebastiao possesses is composing of lyrics and has composed over 1000 songs which were sung by various singers. He has also produced several audio and video albums. To name a few are *‘Bhavart Borvanso Mog’, ‘Kazarachi Chitt’, ‘Onath’, ‘St. Alponsa’* , etc. He is the recipient of the prestigious ‘*Kala Gaurav Award’* awarded by the Directorate of Art and Culture, besides other awards. At the age of 70 Sebastiao is still enthusiastic about the tiatr although he does not enjoy good health due to old age.
