Hi, The process of building the GoboLinux CD has been improved a lot on the last months and we finally reached a state were we can start building the set of packages intended to be shipped with GoboLinux 013.
A nice goal is to have all (or, at least, as much as possible) packages compiled with ChrootCompile, which provides a 'clean' environment and allow us to control on which programs / versions each package becomes linked. The packages are going to be based on glibc 2.4 and gcc 4.1.1. Since packages linked with glibc 2.4 may be problematic on systems with older glibc's, having they separate from the official packages repository seems to be a safer approach (at least by now). So, packages built to be shipped with GoboLinux 013 are being uploaded to this location (I've started to build / upload the packages today): http://www.rsync.gobolinux.org/013-packages/ To accelerate 013 development, we need to discuss what packages are going to be in 013 (http://gobo.kundor.org/wiki/013_packages_list) and prepare / test recipes for the latest versions of each program in the list above but still without package in http://www.rsync.gobolinux.org/013-packages/ I've got some error trying to build latest versions of Gawk (3.1.5) and Util-linux (2.12r). Gawk has some Makefile.in issues which demand an updated patch. Util-linux has compilation problems, not sure if it is gcc 4.1.X related (and if there is a patch out there). So, help on this two recipes would be greatly appreciated :) -- Andre Detsch _______________________________________________ gobolinux-devel mailing list gobolinux-devel@lists.gobolinux.org http://lists.gobolinux.org/mailman/listinfo/gobolinux-devel
