The -f option works, reducing the severity of the problem, IMHO.

I would like to avoid last hour changes specially at a key script like
SymlinkProgram.
RC2 is already at the upload stage. In order to integrate this change
into the release, a new version of scripts should be released, a new
build made, a new set of basic tests performed, and this takes time.
Also, updating the Scripts package after the installation is easy, and
something the user is always recommended to do.

Other option would be to integrate the fix to cvs and not prepare
another scripts release (not integrating the fix at the iso). I have
no strong arguments against doing this for that fix in special (since
it is obviously simple), but I prefer to hold non-critical changes
before 013 final release. Hopefully, we will be able to end the 013
cycle in a few days.
