I got the same console and /Kernel/Device errors reported ...
Also, I booted through Colinux and things looked OK...however...

When I booted directly, it failed with the following USB errors ( I had been 
running Gobo perfectly off the USB disk so far )...it kept looping back to 
the USB full speed device detected prompt...and then USB 
disconnect...something about configuration #1 chosen...

something in these rules breaks something in USB...but I can't pin point 
what....
