hi, argh screw evolution,... and again from the begining:
i just digged up the zeroinstall source code a bit, i tried to archive the following goals: * have zeroinstall install programms to /Programs/<Appname>/<Digest> * make a symlink from /Programs/<Appname>/<Digest> to /Programs/<Appname>/<Appversion> * development packages if any should be installed with the installation of 0install packages, because compile depends on headers after some try and error and code research i see that the stores in 0install heavy depend on having the packages cache in the format <cachedir>/<digest>/ the packages contains <appname>/appcontents to really integrate 0install with gobolinux we need to change those stuff. so zeroinstall can lookup its cache in the format <cachedir>/<appname>/<digest>. another long term goal could be making 0install aware of a gobo rootles installation to install programs for users. iam a bit stock with the current store implementation. the gobo linux compatibility has to be coordinated with the zero install developers. if you know any of them lets get in contact and point them to this mailinglist, if not i will subscribe to zeroinstall ml in a few weeks. bye, christian On Fri, 2008-06-27 at 03:25 +0100, Matt Lawrence wrote: > Hi.
