Hi there, The other thread got very Grub-centric, so I decided to start a new one :-) Here are a few more issues concerning 014.10:
1) Perl: There is no package yet. (This an important one; *and* stuff like Atool depend on it.) 2) WPA_Supplicant: I think this is an important package and we must distribute it. BTW, I compiled WPA_Supplicant 0.7.3 here, but couldn't make it work. I was using (er, I *am* using) 0.4.9, in which I simply used the WPA task. In this new version, I see two different tasks, WPANetworkInterface and WPA_Supplicant, which I couldn't make work. I haven't really looked into what went wrong yet, but... How are these new Tasks supposed to be used? Are there any common mistakes? 3) What about including a media player? (MPlayer comes to mind...) 4) GMP: This is not clear to me... but it seems that I need an older version installed (I have 4.2.1 here) to be able to compile stuff. (I recall reading something about it on one of those "gists" you shared.) 5) Netkit-Base: Shall we distribute it? (/S/S/protocols come here -- and perhaps more important stuff, I don't know) 6) Feh depends on GibLib, for which there is no compiled package available. That's it for now! If I found anything else, I'll let you know. LMB PS: Compiling dozens of packages is a very, very dull experience. Thanks again for providing many of them ready to use! PPS: GoboLinux's Scripts still surprise me on how smart they can be.
