Hi, Sorry for the late response. I am currently on vacation travelling overseas and not checking my email very often.
I remember having had a similar error before, but it had to do with a damaged memory stick. I recall seeing I/O error messages as the Installer executed. Please take a look on dmesg to check if that's not the case..
