Without looking at the actual code, I will assume that you're talking  
about inaccuracies in the estimatedResultCount property.  This is a  
known issue, and Google has stated that they are highly unlikely to  
fix it.  Even so, you can vote that they change their minds on the  
issue tracker by clicking the star at the link below:
