I am not a legal expert, so this should not be taken as absolutely definitive. However, my understanding of the TOU would indicate that, as long as you are (a) not charging users for content taken from Google, (b) properly attributing the Google results, and (c) not including search results from other search engines (e.g., Yahoo! or Windows Live), you'll probably be okay. Without knowing the specifics of your application, though, it's tough to say that for sure. Check out the terms of use for Google in general, as well as the AJAX APIs involved in your application in particular:
