There used to be an undocumented GsaSearch in the API code which, I believe, was designed to interface with Google Search Appliances. Unfortunately, the devteam has recently switched to a new Javascript complier, and if it's still in there, even if you could find it, you would be having to track it down every time they pushed an update because your application would likely break.
