Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find a lot of legal experts in  
this group.  Also, it's difficult to answer your questions  
definitively without knowing the specifics of your application.  Is  
translating words the only purpose of your HUD? Or does it do  
something else, too?  If it's merely a wrapper around the tranaslation  
api, I would be inclined to say that it would be in bad taste to  
charge for it, not to mention legally questionable; but if it does  
other functions as well, then you may well be able to charge.

As far as the "powered by..." moniker are concerned, yes. You probably  
need to add them somewhere on the screen such that the user will  
associate them with the translation.
