I have created a script that needs access to Google's AJAX Search API. It basically returns images gotten from Google's Image Search, and displays them in a more pleasing format.
I've looked over the API's TOS, and the script seems to fit all of the requirements, but there's one that I'm not completely sure on: "...You will not...(i) changing the order in which the Google Search Results appear..." - http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxsearch/terms.html Under section 1.4 I don't think it will be easy to visualize what my program does, so I created a visual representation: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Search 1 - Keyword: Apple => [01],[02],[03],[04],[05],[06],[07],[08] Color Filter: White Page: 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Search 2 - Keyword: Apple => [09],[10],[11],[12],[13],[14],[15],[16] Color Filter: White Page: 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Search 3 - Keyword: Apple => {17},{18},{19},{20},{21},{22},{23},{24} Color Filter: Blue Page: 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Displayed to User: [01][02][03]{17}[04][05] [06][07]{18}{19}{20}[08] {21}[09][10][11][12][13] {22}{23}{24}[14][15][16] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also created an image, but I apparently can't link to it =/ Basically, the user searches 3 times, each with the same keyword, the second time as the second page of the first, and the third time with a different color filter than the first two. I would display the images in the order in their respective searches, from left to right for each row. The searches are intermixed, but within each search, the order they were gotten in stays the same. So, would this go against the TOS? If need be, I could display the individual searches above the final box created, with no intermixing of them.
