Hey Klaus, I think you may be running into the issue mentioned here:
http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine-java/browse_thread/thread/175e70cc0c93ded9 This is a pretty bad hack, but can you try copying the tools.jar file from your JDK's directory (the one which your project in Eclipse is using) over to your App Engine SDK's lib/shared directory and see if that helps?
