Yeah, I'm really hoping that python concurrency is what makes GAE compelling again - both from technology and price perspectives.
A python app on a 1.2GHz processor can handle hundreds of requests a second, and I always assumed that Appengine instances were the same. The billing controversy has highlighted that this isn't the case, and to be honest one instance handling one request at a time makes Appengine seem like a toy. Google is usually better than this - I'm usually delighted by their solutions, but this has taken the shine off Appengine for the moment. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
