They don't run in China :-) Why does it matter? Are you Planning to Blow them Up?
Because Google has strong peering relationships with "everyone" the number of "hops" to your platform is minimal. There are very few instances when the Speed of light will be the limiting factor in how fast requests get to your app. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Craig Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 10:54 AM To: Google App Engine Subject: [google-appengine] Where (geographically) do App Engine apps run? I understand that GAE apps are deployed across multiple data centers, but I would like a better idea of where those are for the purpose of latency expectations for non-US traffic. If everything is only based out of the US, it seems like latency for traffic from India or China for example would be higher. Do deployed GAE apps also run on data centers in Asia, Europe, etc? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
