You might not like this answer, but I don't think it's a problem with your application, it's a problem with the user. Most likely they're running unusually restrictive permission settings on their browser, or some obscure plugin, or an older browser. I've seen some really weird issues especially with GWT on older Internet Explorer editions. Do you have any information about the client's computer? (even just the request headers from the user's browser would be interesting)
