Thank you for your help. Step by step: 1) when trying to create an "App Engine Connected Android Project" the wizard says "Creation of element failed. Reason: unknown protocol: c". The project is created but the console reports an error: "RegisterActivity cannot be resolved to a type"
2) when creating a "Web Application Project", the project is created and the console reports the error "Description Resource Path Location Type There was a problem generating the API metadata for your Cloud Endpoints classes: unknown protocol: c My APIProject Unknown Google App Engine Cloud Endpoints Problem Marker" 3) The error doesn't occur at all with Java Projects and Android projects. Let me know if you want me to try something else. Thanks again.
