Hello, I have integrated Google Apps for Education for my school - Millennium National School in Pune, India.
Here is the scenario: I have set up Google Apps for Education for my domain (www.myshala.com). My plan is to give each and every student an email address, and use Google Apps for sharing all sorts of information (circulars, tests, notes etc). My school has a unique reference number for every students (For example, my daughter Aanasa has a reference number of LA01). I am going to set up email addresses by the students reference numbers only (no names). I have set up calendar.myshala.com as a subdomain pointing to Google Calendar. Now I have set up a public calendar known as "Millennium National School - Primary and Secondary", which I want to add to every students calendar account. Over that, I also want to set up the SMS facility for the calendar, so that parents of the children get SMS' whenever there is a notification put up on my calendar (For example, "The school gets 100% SSC result" etc). I am also interested in forming a calendar per class, wherein I can put class specific messages (For example, for Std.5 English I can put in an entry like "Chapter 1. Robins Song test to be submitted online before July 10" etc.). So here is my question: As of now, I need to add these calendars manually. This is going to take me ages (even if I use AutoHotKey for automating the task) for all my students. Is there an API which I can use to do this? I have seen the Calendar API and I haven't seen any functionality to add the SMS phone number, or a public calendar (though I have seen the Google Event Publisher, but in that the user has to click on it for getting information from my calendar). Please let me know if there is an easy way out in this.
