I just want to make sure i am working on the right path, I was looking
at the options to migrate emails from legacy system to the google apps
domain.
- i could use the migration tool available through the administrators
account
- i could use the migration api and write a script to migrate email
Any experienced users having tried either or both want to point me to
the benefits of either of these?
I was thinking the tool through the administrator dashboard would
basically do the same thing that i would write a script for but the
time may vary in both solutions.
My other question would be regarding using the email migration api, do
i need to access each mailbox on the legacy system, take their emails,
write them in rfc822 format, then given them the gapps account info to
put it in.
I dont want to spend all my time figuring out how to do this to find
out i didnt need to. I am planning to do this in java.
Thanks,
Fatima
