the answer is no. one particular thing i hit while working on a google
sheet app script is - caja strips out attributes related to CSS flexible
box layout mode, documented e.g. here:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/CSS/Flexible_boxes
"display: flex; align-items: center" is a nice way of centering things
vertically, and it's currently not available in caja-processed code.
