> Out of curiosity, how were you thinking of using categories with events?
For me, I'd like to share "versions" of my calendar with specific tags. -------------------------------------------------- Scenario 1: Sharing options by tag. -------------------------------------------------- I like to have one calendar. If I tag my Outlook calendar item with Category "Google", I'd like that event to show up on my Google public calendary; but I don't want my dentist appointments, etc. showing up there if they're not tagged as "Google". -------------------------------------------------- Scenario 2: Sharing "versions" of calendar by tag. -------------------------------------------------- I'd like people to be able to look just at events tagged as "video game", or "Acting", or "Film". This gives the _appearance_ of separate calendars, but it's really just filters on one calendar (and easier for me to manage). And I'd like to be able to offer RSS feeds just for those category events. I currently do this with RSSCalendar, and have been for a long time. I would rather do this all through Outlook, and with Google calendar synch and sharing. My current implementation (repackaging the RSS feeds per category and publishing on my Website) is here: http://www.adamcreighton.com/calendar.html http://www.adamcreighton.com/calendaracting.html http://www.adamcreighton.com/calendarfilm.html http://www.adamcreighton.com/calendargaming.html Best, ------------------------------ Adam Creighton Enterprise Technical Director linkedin.com/in/adamcreighton On May 16, 11:13 pm, "Lane LiaBraaten (Google)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Kulvinder, > > Sorry, but categories are still not supported in Calendar events. > > Out of curiosity, how were you thinking of using categories with > events? > > Cheers, > Lane > > On May 8, 10:34 pm, "Kulvinder Singh" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote:> Any updates on this ? > > > On 2/21/07, Ryan Boyd (Google) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > Thanks Kulvinder for the question and Philipp for the followup. > > > > Categories are not currently supported by the Calendar implementation of > > > the event kind.
