Thanks for the reply Lane. I think the attendee status should stay the same unless it is explicitly changed.
The attendees that we set in our Google Events are coming from mobile device events. For example on the Pocket PC you can set attendees, but they have no status, so by default we assume if they are added as an attendee then they have accepted, or more likely are being forced to attend by there manager ;-). I think when adding attendees through the API the status set should stay the same as it is more than possible that the attendees and statuses are being controlled through another calendar system and justed being synced up to Google Calendar. So if the attendee status is accepted we should assume that the attendee has already accepted the event and not set their status back to invited when the event is added to Google Calendar, hopefully this would also prevent invitations being sent to users who have already accepted an event.
