Hi, We would like to use the gCal api to create individualised timetables for our Students. We have about 500 students in our school and growing. The school uses Google Apps currently for email services however we wish to make use of the powerful calendaring services available. When a Student is assigned to a Class, we wish to programmatically create a calendar entry in their calendar.
I am searching for the most effective way of doing this and would appreciate any hints/tips that people have: - Is there any default authority that the Google Apps administrator has over calendars within a domain? - There seems to be potential in the concept of sharing a Students calendar with an Administrator (full write permissions). Are there any issues associated with the number of calendars that could be shared? We are looking at potentially over 1000. - Are there any best-practice solutions - presumably this is a common usage of the api particularly in schools like ours?
