The time is not incorrect, it is just in a different time zone, Thu Aug 27 11:30pm PDT is the same time as Fri Aug 28 6:30am GMT.
When you are logged in, Google displays events in you preferred time zone (PDT in my case). When you aren't logged in, Google doesn't know where you are and assumes GMT.
