I run a student-run, nonprofit website at Columbia University called The Morningside Post. We are trying to provide a simple resource for student groups at our school (School of International and Public Affairs) to be able to show their events all on one calendar. Google Calendar was the perfect solution until we got up to about 28 individual group calendars all on one overall calendar. At that number, we get an error saying it is too large a request. Seems we have hit a ceiling.
Is there anything we can do to get more groups into our calendar. There are at least 5-8 more groups we need to get on there, and this ceiling is making us not be able to do what we thought Google Calendar would provide. We are running into a situation where we are going to have to look at an alternative technology, possibly with another company, if this situation can't be resolved with Google. Is it just an issue of the URL being too large? Is there any way around this? We really like how easy the Google Calendar is to use, and would really like to stay with it, if possible. Suggestions? Is it possible to raise that ceiling.
