More info: 1) User that has these calendars shared them with me on my calendar. I do not see ANY alams. Again, he DOES see them on his web calendar. He also sees them when he syncs with Google Sync Beta to a Windows Mobile device.
2) I added an alarm to one of his appointments that he shared with me. His reminders do NOT show in the XML query at all. So basically we have a situation where this client's XML does not show any reminders for these specific calendars that were created with NuevaSync, they do show for calendars he creates manually on Google or through other services.
