Using the "Axis Labels" section as a starting point (http:// code.google.com/apis/chart/labels.html#axis_labels), you'll have to use the CHXT and CHXL parameters to specify your labels:
http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=x&chxl=0:|$1.00|$2.00|$3.00&cht=lc&chd=s:HelloWorld&chs=200x125 I do not believe you can use the Axis Range parameter (CHXR) to accomplish this in a more "automatic" way.
