First of all, I would just like to point out that mm w does not represent Google, in case there was any confusion on that matter.
As for your banning, you are correct: you were banned because you hosted content that is not open source. This is a violation of the Terms of Service you agreed to when you created the projects. Furthermore, looking at the data, it seems that even if it were open source, it's not an open source *project*. You were just using Google Code as a drop box for data you needed to put on the internet. I've said this many times before, but I'll repeat: Google Code is a platform for hosting open source projects. If you are not hosting a project, or if you want to serve non-open-source content, you should not use Google Code. Doing so is a violation of ToS, and will result in a ban. This also applies to things like putting some personal data files under an open source license on Google Code: that is not a project, it's a disguised public "internet drive", and that is simply not what Google Code does. Other companies provide such "internet drive" services, and for those uses, you should use those services. I have unbanned your account. Your projects, since they are in violation of ToS, will remain deleted. I encourage you to read through the Terms of Service for Google Code once again, and make sure that your future use of Google Code conforms with those terms. If your future use does not conform, I am afraid the next ban will be permanent. Thanks, - Dave On Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 10:54, Dan<[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > > I think I was banned.
