The android projects and Greasemonkey script are fine. These are projects which have source code, and you are using Google Code only for distribution of the project to end users. The website is more of a problem, but it depends on what you mean: are you using Google Code to serve static HTML/CSS/Javascript content to web browsers? That use is not acceptable, because there is no "project": you are just using Google Code as a high bandwidth host. On the other hand, if by "website" you mean something like a Django blogging application, which has source code and is deployed on another host for actual serving, then the use of Google Code for the development of the app is fine. What is the name of that project? If I can look at the project directly, it's easy for me to tell you if it's a valid use of Google Code or not. If it's not acceptable use of Google Code, we can try to work out a solution. Thanks for asking. Just as a side-note to other people watching: don't be afraid to ask if your use of Google Code is acceptable. If it turns out it's not, we won't immediately use the ban-hammer, and we can suggest how you can move the offending stuff elsewhere gracefully, and/or how you can make your use of Google Code acceptable in other ways. However, if we find the same project through other means, we won't be so accommodating (simply because it would become a full time job!). - Dave > On Aug 29, 3:57 am, David Anderson <[email protected]> wrote: >> First of all, I would just like to point out that mm w does not >> represent Google, in case there was any confusion on that matter. >> >> As for your banning, you are correct: you were banned because you >> hosted content that is not open source.
