That was also my vague memory.

Specifically, my objection to it is that download/viewer/commit count
is not a measurement of project "worthiness". Growl might be way up at
the top of the download leaderboard (random example, I don't know the
leaderboard) because it got slashdotted. Does that make it better
than, say, python-nose, which has a couple of commits every so often,
and is mostly used by pulling down a copy of the source code from
version control?

The stats we could show give a project ranking that is sense-free, and
developing some generic ProjectRank because the value of open source
code is very much in the eye of the beholder. The stats we can
relatively easily compute are "which projects are hammering the snot
out of our infrastructure?", which is something only we care about
:-).

That said, as Ben said, we're curious, please tell us more :-).
