I am one of 3 or 4 folks working on the hosted project named "tircd". We are currently working together in the issue tracker to solve bugs and add new functionality, however we have to work off of github and fork back and forth to each other as the original, sole maintainer of the project has gone missing. He has not updated the project page, any issues in the issue tracker, the projects twitter page (relevant as this is a twitter client), or any other of his accounts as far as I can tell by searching for him.
I have tried emailing him directly to ask about the status of the project and received no reply (that was back on 1/11/2010). I searched around for him on the web and of the few twitter/facebook/forum accounts I could find, they all ceased to be updated about 6 months ago (according to brightkite shortly after he landed in Gambia, Africa). I do believe that wherever he currently is, he is unable to be online. I am concerned because the current release on the project homepage is extremely broken and outdated code, and I believe that having a non- working release on the home page is probably causing 90% of possible users and contributors to decide against using tircd. Is there any way we could have ownership / partial control over at least the main page and releases/downloads section given back to the community of folks currently working on this project? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
