Hello, As far as I can see, most (maybe all) of the projects in code.google.com are open source. With different licenses, that's true, but still most/all of these licenses at least grants the permission to study the code.
However, access to code.google.com apparently is denied to some countries, like Cuba, for example. Isn't it contradictory to provide a repository for open source projects and then denying access to whole countries, regardless of the privileges that licenses grant? If the problem is that the servers are in US soil, or that since Google is from USA it cannot provide this service to blacklisted countries, wouldn't at least it be possible to offer an option to make a mirror in servers located elsewhere where US government cannot impose restricting access, like maybe http://ftp.heanet.ie ? I look forward to your replies. Best regards, Hugo -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
