Hi, I am probably sending this to the completely wrong area, but I had no clue where to send this query to otherwise.
I am the author of 'Installer for Windows Updates' (all versions up to v24d and future versions), and the 'Old Update Remover' (all versions). You can verify this through my username on mydigitallife forums, which is burfadel, and the thread in which I post the latest updates for these, http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/19461-Windows-Hotfix-repository/page430 I am writing this because someone made me aware of http://code.google.com/p/miranda-dev/downloads/list I have no problem with my two scripts and the c++ runtime installer (also mine) being redistributed, but I do have an issue, and I take offence, to people claiming my work as their own, which the person on that page has done. All they have done is replaced 'Burf' (me) with CK, and linked that webpage in the Tools menu of the installer instead of my mediafire download page which has the original files on it. They do not reference me, the original author, at all. Instead of altering the files and taking credit for it, I'm okay if in the re-compressed rar file that a separate readme.txt file is included, acknowledging me as the original author, and having the http://code.google.com/p/miranda-dev/downloads/list listed there, leaving the original code untouched. I haven't GPL'ed it at all, they're scripts! which I will be fully supporting in the future. I am quite happy to make suggested changes to these scripts, but like I said, I just find it offensive someone taking complete credit for scripts that I written (the scripts may not be pretty code wise, but they are effective).
