Unfortunately I have to agree with Lars here. You are not hosting source
code, and so you are not complying with the Terms of Service of Project
Hosting. I will not ban your project, but I will not give you any
additional quota.

Dropbox will give you 5GB of shared space for free and has multiple ways to
get even more free space: https://www.dropbox.com/getspace and
http://lifehacker.com/5854955/how-to-max-out-your-dropbox-referrals-with-google-adwords-for-free

Google Drive will also give you 5GB of free shared space, and an additional
25GB is only $2.49/month -- you can cancel after you no longer need the
space.

There are plenty of additional storage services around the internet.

Google Code Project Hosting is not a filesharing service, even if you are
sharing files for a good and collaborative purpose.
