Na última edição do GCJ não foi necessário o download de nenhuma ferramenta específica. Você pode usar qualquer ferramenta (compilador de sua linguagem favorita, editor de texto, etc), desde que você possar gerar o arquivo de saída requerido e sua ferramenta esteja disponível gratuitamente no momento do concurso para os demais concorrentes. At the last GCJ edition, you didn't need any specific tool. You only need to generate the correct output file, and the tool you use must be freely available for the other contestants.
