perhaps, they have developed a code generator for speed programming competitions :p
The application can learn from input and output files and create an algorithm that maps any input to output.. then embed that algorithm into c lang (this is what i thought when i downloaded their solution for the first time) :p However, as i started practicing; i realized that with immense practice, I can myself be a code-generator!
