My suggestion is that we could submit large input for multiple times. And the score of n-th submission will be 1/n of the original score (or some other distribution). Only the last submission counts and it is still judged after the contest, no matter whether your previous submissions are correct or not.
The reason behind this is that sometimes we would make silly mistakes for large inputs and we only find it out after the eight-minute-window.
