Hey there, this is just a curious question. What do you guys feel about your own chances in this contest? Personally, I did ok reaching the next round, but my ranking isn't at the top. Out of curiosity I looked at some of the most compact entries on http://www.go-hero.net/jam/15.
I was so surprised how people can solve in 10 lines of code, something that I had to spend more than a 100 lines on. Ok I used JavaScript, but still, a good compact algorithm should work with any language. When I think how much I struggle on every problems, and think that some people out there who just breezed through them in an hour or two, I don't get much confidence about my chances. I'm still planning to try to reach as far as possible, but I don't have much hope of reaching the last round. Are you guys have a more optimistic about your chances? Is there anyone here who ended up reaching the final round of past contests, despite doing averagely from the beginning?
