Hi Julian, I don't understand the logic for this intentional behavior. It seems pretty clearly to be a bug to me.
The documentation is pretty specific that the updated field is supposed to relect the timestamp of when the feed was updated. The element itself is named "updated". It's not named "observed" or "whenYouReadItLast". Here's a paste of the IFeed javadoc for the getUpdated() IFeed interface method: getUpdated DateTime getUpdated()The value of the atom:updated element, the date this feed was updated.
