Hello Vinay,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you! The <updated> element in the
result feed is always set to when the result feed has been generated.
However, the <updated> field for each entry should be set to when the entry
was last modified.

There is only one API where this is not working which is the Google Apps
Profiles 
API<http://code.google.com/googleapps/domain/profiles/developers_guide.html>where
entry's <updated> element is always set to "now". This is a known
issue but I don't know if one has been opened in the public issue
tracker<http://code.google.com/a/google.com/p/apps-api-issues/issues/list?q=label:API-Contacts>.
Please feel free to search for one and/or open a new one to keep track of
this bug.
