To be clear, it's merely the CALL / dial function that doesn't work,
the PAIRING of car to phone work properly.

I could have probably corrected the 2 dozen or so typically-dialed
phone numbers that I commonly used manually via editing at
https://mail.google.com/mail/#contacts , but I live to make things a
bit more complex and systematic for the sport of it... others out
there have this issue, and it doesn't apply just to the T-Mobile G1
but the car itself, so here comes JT with the fix :)

Ideas? Share.  I see a Perl script reading / evaluating / parsing each
phone number.  Yeah?  Where to start with tools / sample scripts?
