Thanks for helping with my first question. It looks like adding the 3.0 request to the header (instead of a param in the GET string) does work.. though this directly conflicts with the documentation. http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/docs/3.0/developers_guide_protocol.html#Versioning (someone at google please fix this! (you guys totally should have given me that job... oh wait that was youtube...))
