Maybe your firewall is blocking the "PUT" method; there is a work-around described in the documentation<http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/docs/2.0/basics.html#UpdatingEntry>(look for the "note").
Also, make sure to include the authorization token in the header as the request needs to be authenticated.
