Hello Eric, There is a fully working example for Google Shared Contacts API and Google Apps Profiles API available here: http://code.google.com/p/google-shared-contacts-client/
It however uses ClientLogin instead of 2-Legged OAuth which you can modify by applying Vinay's post.
