Hi,

Here a online tool for creating a iGoogle Gadget (with examples).
http://code.google.com/intl/nl/apis/gadgets/docs/legacy/gs.html#GGE

Viewing it in Google Desktop Sidebar:
When you are done, save the XML file online. And then in Google
Desktop click on the "+" button. A new window will be open ('add
gadget'). Then paste the URL of that XML file in the searchbox above.
Then click on add. And then you appear you iGoogle Gadget in the
sidebar.

Kind Regards,
Stefan Van Damme (aka Stefan vd)
